Question

How to fix the error "Error encryption password" when running config wizard at DB connection step.

 

Answer

 

1. Open the file RUMinstall.log

2. You should see the error:

Failed encrypting dycryptedpassword

Caused by:  RUM\EJBContainer\server\mercury\conf\db.password (Access is denied)

 

3. locate to the file

4. Grant write permission on the file to users

5. Run RUM configuration wizard again, the issue should be fixed
