"When I go to the Auto Logon node of the Recording Options, why is the list of server names empty?
If this error occurs, copy the saplogon.ini file from %APPDATA%\SAP\Common, where %APPDATA% stands for the environment variable specifying the Application Data folder located directly below the user profile folder. Paste the file to the %WINDIR% folder (C:\Windows)."

Issue

Cause

The root cause of the issue is that the Items 1 through 12 from the saplogon.ini were blank and since the first one was blank VuGen did not check the rest of the list since it is considered that any blank item marks the end of the list.

cause

We have changed the way we detect the names of the servers.

Fix

In order to overcome this issue, follow the below steps:

  1. Download the hotfix SapGuiRecordingOptions and extract the content.
  2. Close all the VuGen instances.
  3. Replace the dll in the bin folder of the VuGen installation path.

Note: Please make sure first to create a backup of the original dll.
