Required Update for VMware GRE:
Due to Adobe Flash end-of-life December 31, 2020 all browsers will stop running Adobe Flash web apps. Are you ensuring your backup operations will not be affected? The current Flash based VMware GRE (Granular Recovery Extension) plug-in on Data Protector should be replaced by the new HTML5 version. Although a full upgrade to DP 10.70 is encouraged, users of the VMware GRE function on DP 10.x versions earlier than DP 2020.05 (DP 10.70) can simply install the Flash-free VMware GRE plug-in available at MySupport by following the instructions provided.

Common Criteria Certification
Data Protector has completed Common Criteria Certification and is now listed on the NIAP certification site. Common Criteria is a testing framework demanded by many in the Federal Government, military and increasingly in financial, medical, and other industries as a measure of security in a software product. Common Criteria provides assurance that the process of specification, implementation and evaluation of a computer security product has been conducted in a rigorous, and standard and repeatable manner at a level commensurate with the target environment for use.
If you have an active support subscription for these products, please plan for downloading this version from the Software Licenses and Downloads Portal. To access these products in the Software Licenses and Downloads Portal, you will need to sign in with your Micro Focus credentials.
