  • Deployments are now available on Google Cloud Platform and Hadoop Distributed File System
  • Sub-clusters have improved workload isolation
  • Scaling is faster with improved shard subscription model
• Complex Data Types
  • 1 dimensional Arrays supported in internal tables (ROS format)
  • Additional support for Maps, Arrays and Structs in external tables (Parquet format)
• New capabilities with ML for PMML and TensorFlow integration
• Vertica Database Designer (DBD) has improved ease of use and reduced resource consumption
• Range of security improvements
• Migration API in Enterprise Mode to switch to Eon Mode

Please note that all Vertica customers with active support subscriptions are eligible to update to Vertica 10.0.
