Summary
While installing ALM 12.60 Patch 2 , 15.01 P1 and P2 the process fails at the configuration part at the end with an error.

Configuration failed
Failed to set path to Java
Cause
Although the error points to problem with java, it was discovered that the issue is caused due to special characters used in the service account used during the installation.
Fix
As a workaround it is required to avoid the following - '>', '<' ,'|',''',""", "&" . Those characters can change the behavior of the ALM installation scripts.
