The following key new features are available with this version:

  • Apache Kafka support via Kafka Connect Framework: SecureData integration with Kafka using Kafka Connect Framework, removes previous dependency on Storm
  • Apache Streamsets support: SecureData integration using custom StreamSets processor
  • Maven migration: Project now completely Maven-based, replacing Ant build tool dependency, and removing bundled third-party libraries
  • Datastream integrations directory consolidation: Kafka Connect, Kafka/Storm, NiFi, and StreamSets integrations consolidated into a new directory, using Maven multi-module build process
  • SOAP client removed: Following deprecation in version 4.1, the SOAP client is now no longer supported
