Question

How does uCMDB determine the field Software License Type from the Installed software "Java" properties?  Does Commercial mean it would require a paid subscription?  Why does it say Unknown?

Answer

This is an attribute defined in SAI, we use it to identify if a software is free or commercial.

The value is determined by querying from the software vendor's website, if the software is free to download and use, we'll mark it as "Free", if it need license to download and use, we'll mark it as "Commercial"

"Unkonwn" means we don't know if it's "Free" or "Commercial".
For "Java",  we should mark it as "Unknown", because according to Oracle if "Java" is commerical depends on how you use it.
