Micro Focus is announcing an updated product structure for Data Center Automation Express Edition, starting with version 2019.02. All Micro Focus customers with an active subscription are eligible to update to Data Center Automation Express Edition 2019.02.

Program Overview
Micro Focus is announcing the product structure change of Data Center Automation Suite Express Edition. Version 1 of the Express Edition becomes obsolete; there is a new Express Edition version 2.

The new Data Center Automation Express Edition version 2 will provide the following capabilities:

  • Vulnerability Risk Management for Operating Systems
  • Patch Management for Operating Systems
  • Provisioning and Configuration

All features will be delivered through the containerized version of Data Center Automation, as opposed to the old Data Center Automation Express Edition version 1 that offered provisioning features for operating systems, database and middleware through a limited entitlement to Server Automation and Database and Middleware Automation (DMA) Express workflows. 

Server Automation limited entitlement and DMA Express are no longer included in Data Center Automation Express Edition version 2. 

Please note that all Data Center Automation customers with active support contracts are eligible to update to Data Center Automation 2019.02 (or later version) Your subscription will be updated automatically at time of renewal.

This is not an end of sale announcement for Data Center Automation Express Edition. We are discontinuing the sales of the current product structure (version 1) in favor of the sales of the new product structure (version 2).

Support Contract Update
There are some licenses impacted due to this product structure change. For this reason, your subscription(s) need(s) to be updated automatically at the next renewal time.

Media and License keys
Once your subscription has been updated, you have to request new license keys and obtain new media for Data Center Automation Express Edition 2019.02 (or later version). Please visit Software Licenses and Downloads Portal.

Concurrent support
There will be 6 months of concurrent support for migrating to Data Center Automation Express Edition 2019.02 (or later version).
