Summary

While running Java over HTTP scripts, not able to execute the script in Performance Center; getting the following error. Error: Validation failed. java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

Error

While running Java over HTTP scripts from Performance Center; not able to execute the test and getting the following errors:

Failed to initialize Java vuser

Error: Validation failed. java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

Fix

1. Open file (installation directory for PC Host) - C:\Program Files (x86)\HPE\Performance Center Host\dat\mdrv.dat


2. Search [Java-Interpreter], add qtweb on this line as shown below:

    old - UtilityExt=lrun_api

    new - UtilityExt=lrun_api, qtweb

 

Note: The same steps should be applied in all the LGs involved on the test.
