This addresses the matter of whether the signature applet is compatible with JRE8

Is the Signature Applet compatible with JRE8
Answer
At the time of this writing, the Signature Applet does not support JRE8 , however there is a planned JRE8 compliant release planned for late November 2018.
Customers on early product versions though should take note that the new applet will only have been certified with the latest scrittura version (4.4.0.2 SP10), therefore support will be only be able to address issues with the new version that are also reproducible with 4.4.0.2 SP10
