The following key new features are available with this version:

• NiFi Ingest -IDOL’s ingest capabilities (via integration with NiFi framework) are available to be used as components (processes) in a NiFi environment. It significantly simplifies configuration and monitoring of the ingest chain allowing easier scalability, fault tolerance and document tracking. NiFi is an open source alternative data routing, transformation and system mediation framework. For more information, please visit the Apache Ni-Fi site.
• Dynamic Corpus – This new connector feature provides seam mining (i.e. focuses on a seam of high relevancy) vs open cast mining (i.e. broad base) which enables dynamic data-led discovery by following a trail of relevant information. It unlocks access to sources otherwise inaccessible, such as the Dark Web. This feature is enabled on the web connector only.
• Encrypted Index – IDOL uses existing AES library to encrypt indices and stored documents. FIPS crypto can be used. It helps customers defend against unauthorized copying of an IDOL index verbatim as hackers cannot read the files, and cannot put into another IDOL instance without the encryption key.
• KeyView source code language detection – New additional patterns to match many source code types which enables greater control over governance policies.
• GDPR Support - GDPR grammars in 31 countries (28 EU countries plus those of Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland). Additional grammars explicitly target Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that GDPR addresses. This simplifies GDPR compliance for any company operating in the EU and is thus subject to these regulations.
