Question
I created a workflow but when I go to a user role functional rights in my environment, I don't see the workflow available in functional rights screen to grant access to the user role.
Answer
1) Workflows don't show up in functional rights. Workflows aren't directly activated by the user -- they are triggered by things the user does, but not directly by the user. So there is no need to give them rights to it.
2) What probably we are seeing is an ACTION with the same name as a workflow in that functional domain. Also workflows that has an action scripts associated to them, will show in the functional rights screen.
3) So the problem is not that a workflow is not visible, but that an action with the same name as the workflow is not visible.
In conclusion, there is no need to give functional rights to a user for a workflow (nor is it possible). But if the user does need to execute an action, that should show up there if it is assigned to the correct domain. Also according to our tests, there's no way to make a workflow show up there because workflows don't have functional domains.
