Summary
VEPA backups fail with consolidation error
Question
We have successful backups but we could see Disks consolidation failed from Vcenter end.
VMware support were not able to do disk consolidation because it says it is already locked. After several successful backups, they started to fail.with:

Answer
The issue is outside of Data Protector. There were stale VMs which needed to be removed in order for the consolidation to work properly.
