Summary

When trying to access the .Net agent profiler on Internet Explorer 11 or later it would not work.

Error

When trying to open .net agent profiler on Internet Explorer 11 or later you get a message saying "IE 6 or higher required."

Cause

This is a known issue with IE 11 and the .net profiler.

Fix

  1. Add the profiler URL to the IE compatibility view settings:
    1. Go to tools -> Compatibility View Settings and add the server’s IP or host name.
  2. On IE 11 press F12 (Developer tools) and change the User agent string to 10.
