Cause

An idle timeout of 3600 seconds was configured on the firewall setting between the cell manager and the HANA server.
The low value of idle timeout on firewall setting is silently dropping only idle connections and seems to ignore TCP keepalive.
 

Fix

Increase idle timeout on firewall from 1 hour to several hours .
