Summary

Error when adding Logger L7500 appliances in ArcMC 2.6.0 and 2.6.1

Question

When adding Logger running in a L7500 appliances the web UI shows a pop-up window with the error message

   "Error
   Certificate download failed.
  
   Error: 500 Internal Server Error The call failed on the server; see server log for details."

The arcmc_web.log shows the error message below:
  
[2017-10-13 08:45:24,662][ERROR][AddHostServiceImpl][auditFailure][428A1BABE849A258BFE207472D640CB9][ajp-bio-127.0.0.1-8009-exec-9] Error encountered while adding host "Logger_that_can't_be_added" Exception: java.lang.Exception: Request timed out.

Answer

Adding the Logger Appliances as "Software Form Factor" instead of "Appliance without Local Connectos" resolved the issue.
