Summary
The node is a virtual node , it is pingable and can ssh into the node
Error
storage node is blue in the NMS
Cause
hwclock and system clock were not the same
Fix
The node is a virtual node , it is pingable and can ssh into the node
- node was blue in the NMS
- ESXi node was up and verified the virtual node was powered up and it was
- hwclock and system clock were not the same ,
we use the command hwclock -r;date to check both clocks
To re-sync ntp with time source:
1.- stop servermanager
2.- enter the command : ntpdate -b 10.128.53.19 (ip of the admin node as ntp source)
3.- repeat step 2 if time drift is still too big
4. start servermanager
- started servermanager and this time the node came all its way up
- node is green in the NMS
