This error message appears when executing/running a LeanFT test:
HP.LFT.SDK.GeneralReplayException: To run this step, the Internet Explorer add-on: 'HP Functional Testing Agent' must be enabled.

Fix

  1. Make sure that Internet Explorer (IE) add-on is installed and enabled.
    1. In IE, select  Tools>Manage add-ons.
    2. In the Manage Add-ons window, make sure the HP Functional Testing Agent is enabled
      IEAddons
  2. In case IE add-on is installed and enabled try removing/renaming the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mercury Interactive\Browser Helper Objects
    This can be done through the registry editor. To open it up:
    1. Open Run window (Windows key + R)
    2. Type regedit.exe and then press enter key
    3. Search the above mentioned registry key and rename it (you can also delete it if desired):
      regedit
