Description

The Event-to-Incident Exchange (EIX) describes the interactions between the Event Management system run by the Operations Bridge and the Incident Management system run by the Service Desk. Event escalation occurs when the Event Management process is not able to resolve the issue and opening an Incident is needed. The Micro Focus Operations Manager i (OMi) EIX Service Exchange (SX) adapter supports OMi synchronized notification Event messages, transfers it into an Incident on other external systems, and then handles all aspects of the life cycle of the Event until the Event is closed. The OMi-SX integration solution comes with a generic groovy script that handles multiple external systems at the same time without the need to be edited. The EIX process is done on top of the Service Exchange V2.2 platform and relevant target adapters such as SM and SAW.

NOTE:

  • Integration must use Propel SX as the integration broker.
  • OMi SX adapter (as all SX integration adapters) cannot be used as standalone. It must be deployed with a matched SM or SAW SX 2.20 adapter.
