Product Structure Change |
||
Effective May 18, 2015, HPE has simplified the product structure and pricing for HP Vertica. The new product structure will replace HP Vertica Enterprise Edition with HP Vertica Express Edition and HP Vertica Premium Edition. This product structure simplification is applicable to all versions of HP Vertica. As of September 1, 2016, at the time of the next support contract renewal, existing support contracts for HP Vertica Enterprise Edition will be migrated to HP Vertica Premium Edition. As part of this simplification, we are offering all HP Vertica Enterprise Edition support customers a free license exchange to HP Vertica Premium Edition. This does not involve any form of technical migration or changes to your environment. Neither will there be any change to your current license capacity, only the product numbering will change. You can continue using your current version of HP Vertica and the license keys you currently have. With this product change, the Premium and Express Editions will also have the FlexZone functionality included without any extra charge. For each HP Vertica Enterprise Edition license you own, you are entitled to an equivalent capacity license of HP Vertica Premium Edition (“Migrated Software”). |
Effective Date Sep 1, 2016 |
