Launching Citrix applications from within LoadRunner only displays a black screen

Summary

The issue occurs because the Citrix server is not configured to reset the client connection after the application is closed. Configure the Citrix server to terminate the user sessions as soon as the user disconnects.

Error

When launching a Citrix application from VuGen a black screen is displayed in the Citrix client.

Cause

The issue occurs because the Citrix server is not configured to reset the client connection after the application is closed. The user is disconnected but the session is not terminated and when logging back in the user enters the old session with a black screen window instead of available application.

Fix

To prevent this behavior, configure the Citrix server to terminate the user sessions as soon as the user disconnects. If not sure what changes has to be made, please contact your Citrix administrator.
