Summary
Error
If Central was uninstalled by the uninstaller but Studio was not correctly uninstalled without using the uninstaller(for example, the %ICONCLUDE_HOME% folder was just removed), Central was not possible to re-install with the following error message:
HP Operations Orchestration Studio is installed. Please backup your Studio repository, uninstall Studio, and then restart the install.
Cause
Fix
Generally Central should be installed onto a clean new environment because the current installation status of Studio was not unexpected.
Another workaround is to remove the following registry key(s) if they exist on the problematic host.
Under HKLM:
- 'SOFTWARE\iConclude\Repair System Studio'
- 'SOFTWARE\iConclude\OpsForce Studio'
- 'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Repair System Studio_is1'
- 'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\iConclude OpsForce Studio_is1'
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_32:
- 'SOFTWARE\iConclude\OpsForce Studio'
- 'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\iConclude OpsForce Studio_is1'
Please note that this workaround has not been verified on the product and is not an official resolution.
So it is highly recommended to take the system backup of the host before performing it.
