Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is committed to providing the highest level of customer care to you while you determine your future strategy for HP Data Protector, and will provide support as indicated by the dates listed below.

HPE is announcing the version obsolescence of HP Data Protector 7.0x, 8.0x & 8.1x. All HP Data Protector customers with an active support contract are eligible to migrate to HP Data Protector 9.0x.

Before upgrading to Data Protector 8.1x or 9.0x please ensure you review the Data Protector Support matrices https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/group/softwaresupport/support-matrices?lang=en&cc=us&hpappid=202392_OSP_PRO_HPE to ensure compatibility paying particular attention to the upgrade section of the Installation Guide.
