Executive Scorecard import EC2 billing information data and Utilization data from AWS (XS <- AWS) - Catalog Id: 695

Description

This out-of-the-box data integration imports Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 billing information data into Executive Scorecard. The data is then combined with other data sources, transformed, analyzed, and loaded as metrics on a series of Executive Scorecard tabs.

AWS offers a complete set of infrastructure and application services that enable you to run virtually everything in the cloud: from enterprise applications and big data projects to social games and mobile apps. One of the key benefits of cloud computing is the opportunity to replace up-front capital infrastructure expenses with low variable costs that scale with your business.

This out-of-the-box data integration imports Amazon Web Services CloudWatch (AWSCW) utilization information data into Executive Scorecard. The data is then combined with other data sources, transformed, analyzed, and loaded as metrics on a series of Executive Scorecard tabs.

Amazon CloudWatch (AWSCW) monitors Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources and the applications run on AWS in real-time. CloudWatch is used to collect and track metrics of resources and applications. CloudWatch alarms send notifications or automatically make changes to the resources which are being monitored based on rules. For example, It can be used to monitor the CPU usage and disk reads and writes of your Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances and then use this data to determine whether you should launch additional instances to handle increased load. It's also can be used this data to stop under-used instances to save money. In addition to monitoring the built-in metrics that come with AWS, CloudWatch can be also used to monitor custom metrics. e.g., resource utilization, application performance, and operational health.
