Description
HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) enables you to create both GUI and API tests that examine the full spectrum of your application's functionality.
In some cases, running these tests within the context of a load test is required to:
- Measure the end-to-end user experience during a load test
- Run business processes or API calls that cannot be created using VuGen
Performance Center can include both UFT GUI and API tests in a load test. Note that these tests are designed and debugged within UFT.
The main uses of running UFT GUI and API tests in Performance Center are:
- To check how your application's functionality is affected by heavy load
- To measure the response time that a typical user experiences on the client side while your application is under load (end-to-end response time)
Note: In UFT 11.50 and later, the term API Test replaces what was known as Service Test Test, and GUI Test replaces what was known as a QuickTest Test.
