Event integration from IBM Tivoli environments to Micro Focus Operations Manager i (OMi) is based on IBM's EIF (Event Integration Facility). Basic topology reporting (hosts) to BSM RTSM.

BSM Connector for IBM Tivoli (the IBM Tivoli connector) enables you to establish a link between IBM Tivoli environments and operations management in OMi.

The IBM Tivoli connector is an add-on for the Micro Focus BSM Connector. It enhances the BSM Connector to provide the following IBM Tivoli specific functionality:

  • Collection of IBM Tivoli events, topology and metrics from an IBM Tivoli environment
  • Mapping of the collected data to an OMi-compliant form
  • Customization of the data collection and data mapping
  • Closure of IBM Tivoli events from OMi by using backward synchronization of the event resolution states

This functionality enables you to consolidate management data from IBM Tivoli environments into a Micro Focus OMi operations management solution.

The IBM Tivoli connector provides integration for the following types of IBM Tivoli environment:

  • IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console
  • IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus
