Summary

Unable to execute Bpt Test with BPT Components created via SAP TAO component in UFT 11.53 and higher.

Question

  • Business process tests containing TAO-created components are failing to execute.
  • When accessing from the Business Components module in the project, TAO-created components cannot be loaded in the Automation tab.

Answer

When SAP TAO created a component:

  • TAO did not add ERI data for the component.
  • TAO  marked the component script type as KW (while it was actually SCRIPTED).

SAP TAO 3.00 SP1 P8 and 3.00 SP4 P2 fix those issues.

To solve the problem:

  1. Open a faulty TAO-created component in UFT, change application area and change back, save the component. Then the component is fixed.
  2. If 1 is not applicable , please contact support
