Summary

The SSL server configuration is the recommend way to secure data transition between ALM client and server

Question

The only type of data which has a special handling during transition between client and server is the passwords. However HP ALM/QC passwords are just obfuscated before transferred in order to avoid occasional sniffing. In order to secure password transfer (and data transfer in general) use a secure communication between client machines and servers according to recommendation provided in QLM/QC documentation.

You can find more details on how to secure client/server communication in our installation guides or in our Secured Deployment and Configuration Guide
