Summary

Problem: NDMP backup fails with error 90:63, Cannot load exchanger medium (Target drive is busy.) Cause: DPADMIN user didnt have enough permissions to connect to NDMP, didnt have separate device pool for NDMP Resolution: Used user root which had enough permission to connect to NDMP

Answer

BMA-NDMP Debugs showed

[ 16] NdmpConfigGetHostInfo: failed, reason: connection has not been authorized - err=4.

--> This indicated that the user used to perform the said operation didnt have enough rights to perform the same, including device addition

--> Used "root" user from NDMP and perfomed the following tasks

Create a separate pool specifically for NDMP backups only

Removed old NDMP Device from DP GUI, added it, added drive to it and configured this drive to use newly created NDMP media pool only.
