The SiteScope Monitor Configuration dialog window is not displayed when adding Measurements in LoadRunner 12.0 Controller

Summary

The SiteScope Monitor Configuration dialog window is not displayed when adding measurements in LoadRunner 12.0 Controller. A fix is provided to overcome the issue.

Error

In LoadRunner 12.0 Controller, a SiteScope 11.23 monitor has been successfully created in the Run tab and measures are being captured and displayed.

The problem occurs in Add Measurement. When clicking on the Add button under Resource Measurements to add an extra measurement counter, the SiteScope Monitor Configuration dialog window is not displayed.
The problem is also seen when accessing any monitor group defined in SiteScope. 

Cause

The problem is result of an issue in LoadRunner 12 Controller.

Fix

A fix for LoadRunner 12 Controller is provided to overcome the problem. After the patch is applied: 

  1. It will be possible to open a dialog to add measurements and
  2. “Add Machine dialog” will contain the machine(s) of already opened measurements.
    Note:  When opening “Add Machine” dialog editing of login data is not possible for those machines which already have active measurement. This is a limitation of currently used integration with SiS servers.

Please follow the steps listed below to apply the fix on LoadRunner 12 Controller:

  1. Download SiSmon.fix.zip to LoadRunner LR 12.00 Controller.
  2. Stop the LoadRunner Controller and make sure the wlrun.exe process is not running.
  3. Make a backup copy of the original
    res_mon.dll and
    sitescope.dll files in <LR>\bin folder on the LR Controller machine.
  4. Copy the extracted from the SiSmon.bin.zip 
    res_mon.dll and
    sitescope.dll into the <LR>\bin folder.
  5. Run the LR Controller and check that the problem is resolved.
