Hewlett-Packard (HP) is announcing the product obsolescence of Data Protector and Media Operations 6.1x. All Data Protector and Media Operations 6.1x customers with an active support contract are eligible to upgrade to Data Protector and Media Operations 7.00.

In cases, where customers are running one or more Data Protector Cell Manager(s) on a Solaris platform, we recommend that these customers migrate to HP Data Protector version 6.2x. The Solaris platform is no longer supported with DP7.00.
