Cause

Data Execution Prevention is blocking the installation of ALM Synchronizer.

Fix

Steps to fix this problem

1- Uninstall the current Synchronizer installation that just failed

2- Go to: Start menu -> Right click on computer -> Manage -> Configuration -> Local Users and Groups -> Users

3- Delete the postgres user account

4- Go to: Start menu -> Right click on computer -> Properties -> Advanced system settings -> Advances Tab -> under Performance select settings -> Data Execution Prevention

5- Change to the option Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services.

6- Restart the computer and try to install ALM Synchronizer again.
