Summary

Effective July 1, 2012, HP had restructured the licensing model for new versions of HP Universal Configuration Management Database (UCMDB), HP Universal Discovery (UD), HP Universal Discovery Inventory (UDI), and HP Universal CMDB Configuration Manager Advanced Configuration Manager (UCMDB-CM) purchases in order to make licensing of updates and new purchases smoother and easier.

Effective July 1, 2012, HP had restructured the licensing model for new versions of HP Universal Configuration Management Database (UCMDB), HP Universal Discovery (UD), HP Universal Discovery Inventory (UDI), and HP Universal CMDB Configuration Manager Advanced Configuration Manager (UCMDB-CM) purchases in order to make licensing of updates and new purchases smoother and easier. As of September 1, 2013, at the time of the next support contract renewal existing support contracts for UCMDB, HP Discovery & Dependency Mapping Advanced ("DDMA"), HP Discovery & Dependency Mapping Inventory ("DDMI") and HP UCMDB Configuration Manager ("UCMDB-CM") will be migrated to the commensurate HP license. Details of this migration are as follows:

UCMDB Migrations:
Those customers that have previously licensed UCMDB based on the Managed Server licensing model are migrated to HP UCMDB Third Party Integration ("UTPI") based on a tier licensing model. For each UCMDB license, customer will be entitled to one (1) UTPI license for two hundred (200) Managed Data Repository ("MDR") software. For license entitlement purposes only, each UCMDB Foundation license will migrate to one (1) UCMDB Foundation license.

Universal Discovery Migration - Those customers that have previously licensed DDMI will migrate to UDI. For each DDMI license, customer will be entitled to one (1) UDI license. Those customers that have previously licensed DDMA will migrate to UD. For each Operating System (OS) Instance based DDMA license, customers will be entitled to one (1) UD license. For CPU based DDMA licenses (DDMA-CPU), customers will be entitled to three (3) UD licenses for every four (4) DDMA-CPU license.

UCMDB-CM Migration - The licensing for UCMDB-CM has changed from Configuration Item (CI) to OS Instance. For each UCMDB-CM license customer will be entitled to one (1) UCMDB-CM-OS Instance license (UCMDB-CM-OS).

License Migration Terms

  The UDI, UD, UTPI, UCMDB and UCMDB-CM-OS ("Migrated Software") is licensed in accordance with the agreement under which customer previously purchased UCMDB, DDMA, DDMI or UCMDB-CM and the new additional license terms for the applicable Migrated Software as set forth at this location ("Additional License Terms"). Customer’s acceptance of the Support Renewal Quotation for the respective Migrated Software is Customer’s acceptance of the Terms herein, including the Additional License Terms.
