VuGen 12 hangs during the code generation at scan for correlation step

Summary

During the code generation in VuGen 12, search for the correlation never stops. A fix is provided to overcome the issue.

Error

In LoadRunner and Performance Center VuGen 12.00, during the code generation, for some scripts, the last step (scan for correlations) never stops. The only option is to kill the VuGen process.

Cause

The problem is related to an issue in the search for correlations algorithm.

Fix

A hotfix is available to address this issue in LoadRunner and Performance Center VuGen 12. 

To apply the hotfix follow the steps listed below:

  1. Close VuGen.
  2. Go to <LoadRunner installation folder>\AddIns\VuGen\FrontEnd\Panes\ThumbnailExplorer folder
  3. Backup the original CorrelationBackEnd.dll
  4. Unzip CorrelationBackEnd.zip and
  5. Replace the original file with the CorrelationBackEnd.dll from the hotfix
