Error: "DynamicTree: The file '...\dat\web2log.xml does not exist.' " is displayed while generating repot file from Template Reports in Standalone Analysis 11.0x

Summary

Due to missing web2*.xml files in \dat folder the Error: "DynamicTree: The file '...\dat\web2log.xml does not exist.' " is displayed while generating repot file from Template Reports in Standalone Analysis 11.0x. The issue is resolved in SA Analysis 11.5x installation and a patch is provided for SA Analysis 11.0x.

Error

In LoadRunner and Performance Center Standalone (SA) Analysis 11.0x while attempting to generate a report file from a Template Reports > Report Templates > Detailed report (for single run) > Generate Report, are displaying the following error dialog boxes, in order:

"DynamicTree: The file '...\dat\web2log.xml does not exist.' "
"rtsxdlg: Unable to load '...\dat]web2log.xml'."
"DynamicTree: The file '...\dat\web2advanced.xml does not exist.' "
"rtsxdlg: Unable to load '...\dat\web2advanced.xml'."
"DynamicTree: The file '...\dat\web2log.xml does not exist.' "
"rtsxdlg: Unable to load '...\dat]web2log.xml'."
"DynamicTree: The file '...\dat\web2advanced.xml does not exist.' "
"rtsxdlg: Unable to load '...\dat\web2advanced.xml'."

Cause

The Analysis Report Generation expects to open the web2*.xml files. These files are not present in the Analysis 11.0x installation folder: <SA Analysis installation folder>\dat.

Fix

The issue is resolved in SA Analysis 11.5x installation.
In SA Analysis 11.0x there is a fix available to solve the problem. Please follow the steps below to apply the patch:

Close Analysis 11.0x
Download the attached web2_xml.zip
Go to <SA Analysis installation folder>\dat.
Copy the contents (8 files) from the web2_xml.zip to the <SA Analysis installation folder>\dat folder
Open Analysis 11.0x and test the Report generation.
