Question

Customer cannot add PC server to ALM after manually changed password, and got error "Change machine Identfy failed" or "Failed updating the server config file.Please verify that ALM user(usually IUSER_METRO) is defined on Performance Center Server"

Answer

Customer manually changed password without going through ‘Server configuration wizard’ and they didn’t actually refresh the changes leading to corruption in qcsiteadmin_db schema. After creating a new qcsiteadmin_db, they can add PC server successfully into ALM.
