Issues with LR agent after patch 1 installation on top of LR 11.52

Summary

Not able to start LR agent process with multiple terminal sessions, even when --> Enable Terminal Services--> is checked, after patch 1 installation on top of LR 11.52, and this is because an issue with the magent process.

Error

Not able to start LR agent process with multiple terminal sessions, even when --> Enable Terminal Services--> is checked, after patch 1 installation on top of LR 11.52.

Cause

This is because of an issue with the magent process on patch 1.

Fix

In order to overcome this issue, the following steps need to be performed:
  1. Close all LoadRunner components.
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\LoadRunner\launch_service\bin and take a backup of the current magentproc.exe file.
  3. Download from this KB article, the file magentproc.zip which contains the updated version of magentproc.exe, copy it into C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\LoadRunner\launch_service\bin
  4. Restart the machine.
  5. Configure the agent to “Enable Terminal Services”
