Error

When using the new VTS, user receives an error in the Controller during load testing, indicating the VTS functiones need to be added to the allowed function lists in the protocol .asl

"Error: -19886: CCI security error:You are running under secure mode and the function <function_name> is not allowed in this mode."

Please add the VTS functions to the allowed function lists in the protocol .asl files where VTS is supported.

Cause

In order to integrare VTS  into the load generator install and avoid to manually add VTS functions to the allowed function lists in the protocol .asl files where VTS is supported, it is required to replace the existing lrun_api.asl with the one attached to this article.

Instructions:

1. Close all LoadRunner components.

2.  Download the new lrun_api.asl and copy it to <LR Installation Dir>\merc_asl, to replace the existing file.

3. Reproduce the issue.
