Question

With SP 3 in Application Lifecycke Management (ALM) 11 was introduced the option to set default values for fileds directly from the user interface. In which location are these values are stored?

Answer

When a default value is set for a filed in ALM the application inserts a record to the COMMON_SETTINGS table GeneralState row, which contains project customization info. The line "fieldNameAndValuesList" is added along with parameters, describing fields and values. It’s not readable and manual modifications will not be supported.
