Data Protector (DP 7.01) Exchange GRE Console displays  "Command builder execution failed" error while trying to select databases.

Answer

Data Protector GUI (user interface) is not installed on the server where Data Protector Exchange GRE component is installed.

Install Data Protector User Interface component on the server to resolve this issue.
