Please I need to know if HP OMW can integrate with Tivoli Storage manager "TSM" which is a solution for monitoring SAN?
Answer
There is no out-of-the-box integration, such as a SPI, between OMW and Tivoli Storage Manager. However one of the following solutions might be possible:
You could configure TSM to run the opcmsg command line interface, populated with variables you define with TSM, which in turn sends messages to OMW - all it takes is an agent on the TSM system.
Alternatively, you can also configure TSM to forward SNMP traps to OMW, in which case you don't need to install an OMW agent on the TSM system.
Another option would be to use TSM to write an entry to a logfile on another system that does have an OMW agent installed. Then deploy a logfile template/policy to that node to monitor the logfile and get messages into the console.
