Answer

This can be due to limitations of rights for the user on the host. This will administrative rights.

It can also be not having complete access to the code of the application you are recording. Recording in COM/DCOM requires the use of filters to record processes.  This should be worked on with developers in order to make it work. If you try it on a commercial application like Internet Explorer, will give you this error.
