Summary

After installing LoadRunner patch LR Patch LR_03160.EXE (KM00211062 ) Customer was unable to run a scenario test.

Error

Error: An exception was raised while calling action_logic_call_vuser_init function in extension runlogic.dll: System Exceptions: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Cause

A problem with the runlogic.DLL can happen if the installation of the patch was done incorrectly possible causes are:
  • Not enough Administrative rights to registry DLL during installation.
  • Another set of patches was installed previously and causing problems with new update.
  • Scenario configuration file is corrupted.

Fix

Below some steps you can follow in order to check this issue:
  • Uninstall the latest patch and reinstall again (make sure to reboot the machine after the installation). If the problem persist the next step will be uninstall LR and reinstall again.
  • Create a new Scenario in order to see if the problem persist. This should tell if the problem is related with existing scenarios or with any new or old created after the installation of the patch.
