Known Issues and Limitations

§        All the data collected by the SHS data collector for Storage Area Manager SPI on Windows managed nodes may not be relevant.

The data collected includes data for Windows managed nodes running OpenView SAM Management Server and OpenView SAM HostAgent, irrespective of which of them is running on that particular Windows node. The Data Collector collects a file named "SPI_SAM_collector_output.txt" file which lists the outputs of the commands run by the collector. The output of "chksam.vbs" gives the information regarding the existence of Storage Area Manager Client, Storage Area Manager HostAgent and/or Storage Area Manager ManagementServer. This information helps us to classify the rest of the data in that file accordingly and use only those which are relevant to that particular node.
