This document provides an overview of the changes made to HP Operations Smart Plug-in for BEA Tuxedo (Tuxedo SPI) 4.10 for the HP OpenView Operations for Windows (OVO for Windows) version 7.50 and HP Operations Manager for Windows (HPOM for Windows) version 8.00. It contains important information not included in the manuals or in online help.

NOTE: The Scheduled task policies CHECKULOGMON, DELETEULOG, CHECKEVTMON, and COMPRESSULOG have been renamed as TUXSPI_CHKULOGMON, TUXSPI_DELETEULOG, TUXSPI_CHKEVTMON, and TUXSPI_COMPRESSULOG respectively.

New Tools

The new tools added are as follows:

New Product Names

HP OpenView Operations is now HP Operations Manager, OVO for Windows is now HPOM for Windows, and HP OpenView Smart Plug-ins are now HP Operations Smart Plug-ins. Due to these product name changes, product names in the documentation may temporarily differ from the names you see on the software.

Installation Notes

Installation requirements, as well as instructions for installing Tuxedo SPI, are documented in the HP Operations Smart Plug-ins DVD Installation and Upgrade Guide provided in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
