The HP OpenView Smart Plug-in for Microsoft Virtual Server (MSVS SPI) software version 01.10 includes the following new features:
MSVSSPI-VMM_monitor Policy (Type: Service/process monitoring): This policy monitors the availability of the following VMM related services.
hpvmmsvc : HP Virtual Machine Management Service
hpvmmweb : HP Virtual Machine Management Web Service
LaunchVMM Tool: This tool launches administration pages for VMM, for the selected node.
MSVS SPI provides a tool that will show the list of virtual machines that are connected to a virtual network. The Show VN to VM Association tool can be launched from any virtual network service instance.

Installation instructions for installing MSVS SPI, are documented in the Installation/Upgrade Guide for Smart Plug-ins CD for OpenView Operations provided in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. The document file is included on the HP OpenView New and Upgraded Smart Plug-ins CD, Volume 1, as:

Before installing the MSVS SPI, make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements listed below. For the management server requirements, refer to the OVO version 7.5 requirements.
You must install the MSVS SPI Reporter only on the cluster node where the OV Reporter 3.6 resource group is active.
To uninstall MSVS SPI Reporter, you must make sure that you uninstall MSVS SPI Reporter from the same cluster node on which you installed it. In addition, you must make sure that the OV Reporter 3.6 resource group is active on the cluster node during uninstallation.
The following MSVS SPI version can be upgraded or migrated:

No special actions are required for upgrading MSVS SPI. During the installation using the Smart Plug-ins, New and Upgraded CD, Volume 2, the previous SPI version is detected and the installation proceeds as expected.
You must perform the following steps to uninstall MSVS SPI:
Right click and view the policy inventory by using the following option in the menu:
View > Policy Inventory

The installation of HP MSVS2005 Host Agents application might fail due to insufficient permissions to install the application when you run the following tools or policy:
You must run these tools or policy as a user with permissions to install or uninstall applications.
There are no known errors in the MSVS SPI documentation.
MSVS SPI version 01.10 supports only OVO 7.5. Earlier versions of OVO are not supported.
