During upgrade, the installer of the PI Report Packs November 2009 release, by
default, automatically backs up all your previous report packs from the Packages
folder into the Packages.preRNS14
folder. However, you also have the option to
back up your existing report packs manually.
Before running the setup program, make sure that the folder
{DPIPE_HOME}/packages
is not being used by any other user.
IMPORTANT: The PI Report Packs November 2009 release can only be installed on PI 5.41. Do not install these packages on an earlier version of PI.
For detailed installation instructions, see product-specific release notes and user guides. User guides and release notes are available in the <PI_Installation_Directory>\packages\<report_pack_name>\docs
folder.
NOTE: To check for recent updates or to verify that you are using the most recent edition of the documents, visit: HP Software Product Manuals.
To upgrade the report packs, follow these steps:
- Backup your current Packages directory (if you choose to take a manual back
up in addition to the backup taken by the installer)
- Upgrade report packs
- Upgrade each datapipe
See the respective user guides for the report pack or datapipe, for
the following information:
