HP Operations Manager Dependency Mapping Automation (HPOM DMA) enables IT Operations teams to align their activities more fully with the business services that the IT infrastructure supports. By providing automated dependency mapping and configuration consistency in environments with multiple HP Operations Manager servers, HPOM DMA optimizes the ability of IT organizations to support their businesses and enables enhanced productivity and efficiency within the Operations teams.

Installation requirements and instructions for installing HPOM DMA are documented in the HP Operations Manager Dependency Mapping Automation Installation and User's Guide provided in Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) format. The latest version of this document is available from the HP Product Manuals web site.

Hardware and Software Requirements

These requirements are listed in the HP Operations Manager Dependency Mapping Automation Installation and User's Guide. Before installing HP Operations Manager Dependency Mapping Automation, make sure that your system meets these minimum requirements.

This section describes the HPOM patches you must install on the HPOM host system.

Patches for HPOM 8.xx for HP-UX Itanium
PHSS_39247 Consolidated Server A.08.33 (or above)
PHSS_38510 Consolidated Agent A.08.53 (or above)

NOTES:

The 8.53 patch installation only installs the agent, it does not deploy it. After the patch is installed, deploy the HP Operations Agent version 8.53 to the HPOM management server.

PHSS_39732 Java Config API A.08.33 (or above)
PHSS_39734 Server Accessories A.08.33 (or above)

NOTES:

Do not install the server accessories patch PHSS_39734 on HPOM DMA 8.10 unless you plan to upgrade to HPOM DMA 8.20. This patch breaks HPOM DMA 8.10 installations.

The server accessories patch PHSS_39734 only places updated software components into the filesystem. After the patch is installed, you must manually install these components according to the special patch installation instructions that are included in the patch documentation.

Patches for HPOM 9.xx for HP-UX Itanium
Install the latest consolidated server patch.
