Note:
Installation of NV Test Manager on Windows 8.1, Windows 2012 R2, and some Linux machines may take several minutes longer than installation on other supported operating systems.
Limitation: There can be performance degradation if there are more than 80 completed tests on a given NV Test Manager.
Workaround: As you approach 80 tests, archive old tests to the NV Server and then delete them from the NV Test Manager.
Limitation: NV Test Manager and the HP Network Virtualization service may become unresponsive if the computer went into Sleep mode while a test was running.
Workaround: Restart the HP Network Virtualization service. If the restart fails, kill the NVServicesJ process and then restart the HP Network Virtualization service.
Limitation: When opening the Network Virtualization for Mobile components (NV Server, NV Test Manager) with Internet Explorer, the NV component might not open and a blank browser window is displayed.
Workaround: In the IE browser, go to Internet Options > Security > Custom level and make sure that scripting is enabled. Close all IE browser windows and reopen the NV component.
Limitation: Running a test with Duplication, Fragmentation and Bit Error effects on NV configured in Bridge mode may cause a system crash.
Workaround: Avoid using Duplication, Fragmentation and Bit Error effects during NV emulation in Bridge mode.
Limitation: An empty error message may display when starting to run a test on a Linux system.
Workaround: Restart the NV service: service nvd restart
Limitation: Client/Server IP addresses in NV Test Manager are displayed in IPv6 format on Windows 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2.
Workaround: Use one of the following:
http://<Test Manager machine IP address>:8182/shunra/controller instead of http://<Test Manager machine host name>:8182/shunra/controller).
Limitation: When uninstalling NV Test Manager on a Linux system, there is no option to save data files.
Workaround: Save the Data Folder in a new location before uninstalling NV Test Manager.
Limitation: When installing NV Test Manager on Windows 2012 R2, installation may fail with the error "unable to start Sentinel License Manager service".
Workaround: Reinstall NV Test Manager.
Limitation: After running a test with multiple flows, if you rerun one of the tests, the excluded Server IP is deleted from the test, but still appears in the UI. If you then rerun the same test again, the run fails with an “ambiguity” error message.
Workaround: Stop the rerun test. Delete the original test and the copies of the test.
Limitation: The Large Send Offload feature for an Ethernet adapter may significantly degrade network performance during NV emulation, potentially making the NV client unresponsive.
Workaround: When facing poor network performance, disable Large Send Offload: Ethernet adapter properties > Configure > Advanced > Large Send Offload V2 (IPv4) > Disabled.
