Overview of the NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.00 Release

NNM iSPI Performance for QA enables you to monitor and analyze the performances of the network elements managed by HP Network Node Manager i Software System (NNMi). NNM iSPI Performance for QA discovers the QA probes that you configured in these elements and displays the status of each of these probes in the QA Probes inventory view.

You must have Network Performance Server installed before you can install NNM iSPI Performance for QA. However, you can have different deployment scenarios to integrate NNM iSPI Performance for QA with NNMi and other iSPIs (see the Deployment Reference).

For an overview of NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.00, see Introducing Network Node Manager iSPI Performance for Quality Assurance Software in the Installation Guide (see Installation Guide and Support Matrix).

Known Problems, Limitations, and Workarounds

·        QCCR1B45367: QA Discovery filter configuration doesn't allow filters with characters '@', single quotes or double quotes or '\','#'.

·        QCCR1B45406: Cisco IOS IP SLA allows for configuration of a history distribution of statistics for reporting a statistical distribution of response times. When this feature is enabled, the NNM iSPI Performance for QA reports will report incorrect values for RTT. This configuration can be detected, if RTTMON MIB is enabled, in the value of rttMonStatisticsAdminNumDistBuckets (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.7.1.4). If that MIB value is greater than 1, the QA values reported will be incorrect. A workaround is to redefine the IP SLA on the source router as having no history, or history distribution-of-statistics-kept 1.
